Wind Lab Junior is an authentic aerogenerator designed to allow children and young students experiment and learn on the wind energy.
This assembly allows to easily understand aerogenerators' operating mode. Its design as kit allows young people to practice their manual dexterities, a unusual thing nowadays, taking in account the software hegemony.
This laboratory generates electricity even with low wind speeds, thank to its powerful and sensitive three phases motor. The engendered alternate current is rectified and sent to the output according to two possibilities: directly or through a super-capacitor with high capacity.
To do different types of experiments and evaluations, the laboratory includes an electronic module with a small music box, a fix LED and a blinking LED. The aerogenerator is equipped with 3 helixes and a polypropylene weather vane. Students can design their own helixes, modifying the number, the size and the form of these, in order to verify how these change affect the output current.
